The PECO SL98 is a large-radius Y turnout designed for OO/HO model railway layouts using the PECO Streamline Code 100 track system.
Y turnouts are particularly useful where space is limited, as they allow a track to divide symmetrically while helping modellers create compact and efficient track formations. The SL98 is part of PECO’s Streamline Code 100 range, which is designed to accommodate both vintage and current OO/HO rolling stock. PECO states that the Code 100 rail profile accommodates flange depths of up to 1.6 mm.
The SL98 has a 220 mm length, a 12-degree frog angle and a 1,828 mm radius, giving it a generous, flowing geometry suitable for larger-radius track formations.
