The PECO PL10E Turnout Motor is a solenoid-operated point motor designed for the electrical operation of compatible model railway turnouts. It is based on the standard PL10 turnout motor but features an extended operating pin, making it suitable for installations where additional clearance or a deeper mounting position is required.
The PL10E is designed for under-baseboard installation, allowing the motor to remain concealed beneath the layout while providing positive and reliable movement of the turnout.
The solenoid mechanism operates by means of a short electrical pulse, moving the turnout between its two positions. It can be used with suitable analogue control equipment and compatible digital/DCC accessory control systems.
Please note: A suitable momentary switching system or capacitor discharge unit should be used to operate solenoid point motors rather than applying continuous power.
